In Dragon's Dogma 2, Pawns come from a place called The Rift. They're summoned to help the Arisen defeat the Dragon.
In the game, Pawns are like your team members. You can have up to three: one Main Pawn and two Hired Pawns.
In the Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator & Storage demo, if you made a Main Pawn, you'll see an option to load your latest saved Main Pawn.
Customize your Main Pawn's look, then select their job and behavior. Pair a job that complements yours, like Mage or Archer with a Thief or Fighter Arisen.
When an Arisen interacts with a Riftstone, they're taken to a pocket dimension. To hire a Pawn, approach them, start a chat, and check their stats, armor, and skills.
